The Founders
Tristan Cole Massey is a successful Hair Artist with over 10+ years in the industry and is famously known on TikTok as @myhairfriend. Derek Alexander is a self-taught Ingredient Specialist with a passion for skin science and has worked for over 13+ years for brands such as Shiseido, bareMinerals, Paula’s Choice and TULA.
Together they created MyHairFreind, LLC. in October 2021 to be a Safe Space where all are welcome who share a passion for Hair Artistry, Philanthropy, and Friendship.
The Vision
Located in historic Downtown Springfield, MO, Derek and Tristan manufacture & distribute HairFriend Hair Care to salons, Airbnb’s, and retailers both locally and within the USA. The best of friends for over 15 years, these two midwest-born entrepreneurs have combined their skills & talents to create an eco-Freindly, color safe, and plant based hair care line that rivals any imported, luxury bottled product.
Launched in June 2022, HairFriend Hair Care is Hair Tested, Planet Approved, and focused on bringing some clean & positive vibes to your hair care ritual. You’ll find a small, precious stone located inside each HairFriend Hair Care bar, a token of appreciation from the planet itself.
